Styled Holiday Minis with JHicks Photography and Style Up Group
Last week we had the pleasure of helping seven families with their holiday photos. It was a true pleasure to meet so many wonderful people in a safe environment, bringing a little bit of normality back and holiday joy to this time of year.
We also majorly lucked out with the weather! Being in Wisconsin, you never really know what you're going to get weather-wise on a November day, but on this particular day it was absolutely gorgeous with temperatures in the 60s!
Style Up Group and JHicks Photography teamed up to offer a unique holiday photo experience with two scenes: modern campfire (with a real crackling fire) in the pines, and a stylish hot cocoa bar. Our clients were greeted at a lovely space on the Menomonee River Parkway in Wauwatosa, with hot cocoa, whipped cream, sprinkles, marshmallows, and the adults were also offered some fun stuff like Rumchata and Baileys to make it extra fun.
Below you will see photos of each family. I always find it fascinating to learn about people when I work events, shoots and projects. So many of our families mentioned that it had been years since they got holiday photos done... that life keeps on moving so fast, and before you know it your kids are big.
And that's the thing, as parents (as I am and many of my clients are), it's so easy to take pictures of the kids, but it's so hard to make the effort and time for beautiful photos of you WITH your children. We're so happy to have accomplished that for many of our families on this day.
In this group we learned so much about you, from your professions and backgrounds (ER nurse, office manager, business owner, sales manager, police officer, personal trainer, teachers, retail manager, server/bartender and more). We also had a lovely family who spoke French and I was swooning over the sound of it, such a beautiful language.
We won't tell you who is who because it really doesn't matter. But what does matter is that together, we documented a beautiful and complex moment in time with your family... memories that we will all have for a lifetime.
